Premartial Marriage Mentor

Come alongside couples who are preparing for marriage. 

Ministry Specific Responsibilities

  • Becoming familiar with Preparing for Marriage: Conversations to Have before Saying “I DO” 
  • Review mentor guide with Marriage and Family Director 
  • Meet with mentor couple 5-8 times, reviewing Preparing for Marriage 


Marriage Champions

Come alongside married couples to support, mentor, and strengthen their relationship. 

Ministry Specific Responsibilities

Needs will vary from couple to couple. Examples may include…


  • Meet with a couple over dinner or coffee to listen and encourage them
  • Assist couples to finding helpful resources to help enhance their relationship
  • Share your own martial story of God’s faithfulness 
  • Meet with couples to pray using guided prayer resources. 
  • Offer practical support, like providing babysitting or offering a meal during difficult seasons

Yearly Marriage Event

Be part of the Host Team for our yearly marriage event. 


Ministry Specific Responsibilities 

Listed below are specific roles for the event…


  • Purchase items needed for the event (often includes drinks and snacks served at event) 
  • Help with decor and set up for event 
  • Check-In
  • Welcome couples to the event 
  • Assist with childcare for Saturday morning
  • Help in serving food, typically involves dessert Friday, breakfast Saturday and snacks 
  • Help in tearing down and cleaning up after the event

Purpose

We believe marriage is both the design of and a gift from God. We also know that we often move into this union with little to no real understanding of God’s design or real world “training”. We long to become a church where marriages are built, equipped, encouraged, and (if necessary) restored. Our Marriage Ministry team aims at coming alongside couples wherever they find themselves on their martial journey.
